Hello! My name is Gareth.
I am a native English teacher from Northern Ireland with over ten years of international teaching experience across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. I graduated from the University of Ulster with a Bachelor of Science in Community Youth Work and later completed a 120-hour TEFL certification. Throughout my career, I have taught students from more than 20 nationalities, working in international schools, ESL programs, language camps, and online platforms.
I specialise in communication-focused lessons that develop fluency, confidence, and clear pronunciation. I prepare students for Cambridge speaking examinations (Starters, Movers, Flyers, A2 Key, B1 Preliminary) as well as IELTS speaking modules. I teach learners from beginner level (A0) to advanced (C2), including young learners, teenagers, and adults.
My teaching style is structured, engaging, and results-driven. I believe students learn best in a disciplined but supportive environment where they are encouraged to express themselves clearly and confidently.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy travel, sport, and cultural exchange, which helps me connect naturally with students from different backgrounds.
