Hello! My name is Ekaterina, and I teach Russian and English.
I was born in the north of Russia, in the Murmansk region, but a few years ago, I moved to Finland. Here, I completed a bachelor's program in International Business at the University of Applied Sciences in Jyväskylä and spent one exchange semester in France at the IESEG School of Management. Currently, I am continuing my education in Intercultural Pedagogy at the University of Oulu.
I conduct individual and group lessons, working with both adults and children starting from the age of 6. I strive to make my lessons dynamic and interactive, using various materials, games, and incorporating a lot of speaking practice, as it is the key to fluency.
Russian is my native language. I love reading Russian literature and am very interested in Russian culture and history. Therefore, in my Russian language classes, in addition to language aspects, I share knowledge about the rich Russian culture.
English has become my second native language. I have been speaking it for over 10 years, receiving higher education in English and using it daily for communication and work. I also have an IELTS certificate confirming my proficiency in English at level C1.
In my free time, I love reading books, doing sports and dancing, and traveling. One of my favorite places is the mountains, and I enjoy skiing.
Thanks to my international experience and deep cultural knowledge, I help my students not only learn the language but also understand cultural aspects, making the learning process more interesting and enriching.

2024-2027 – Oulu University, Faculty of Education, specialty “Intercultural Pedagogical Education”, qualification - elementary school teacher (English), Bachelor's degree, incomplete higher education.
