Hi! My name is Maria. I am a certified teacher of Russian as a foreign language with a higher education degree in linguistics.
I graduated from Siberian Federal University with a degree in Linguistics (English and Spanish), and also completed a master’s program in Applied and Expert Linguistics. In addition, I obtained a specialized qualification as a teacher of Russian as a foreign language. My professional path is supported not only by theory but also by practice: I have worked as both an interpreter and a translator, which helps me explain even the most subtle nuances of real, living speech to my students. I am committed to continuous professional development and regularly complete advanced training courses. I place special emphasis on digital pedagogy: my portfolio includes certifications in the use of innovative technologies and AI tools in education, as well as in modern foreign language teaching methodologies.
Since 2021, I have been working with both adults and teenagers. My experience includes:
- Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language (RFL)
- Preparing students for the official TORFL (Test of Russian as a Foreign Language) exams
- Designing specialized courses tailored to individual goals: from relocation and academic studies to professional communication and public speaking
My teaching approach is based on communicative methodology and neurolinguistics: instead of memorizing rules, we train the brain to naturally absorb the language. Forget about boring textbooks:

I am passionate about intercultural communication. My personal travel experience in Spain, Austria, and Turkey helps me better understand my students’ cultural backgrounds and adapt lessons accordingly.
For many students, it’s important to find “their” teacher, and I always enjoy building meaningful connections through shared interests. I am genuinely passionate about world cultures, follow modern online content and cinema, and one of my biggest inspirations is cooking - I especially love creating delicious desserts!
